Hands-on, Minds-on Learning: Planning & Pedagogy Playshops

Join Yvonne, Learning Design Manager in Teacher Education in Scarfe 1007 for some discussion and interactivity to support planning and preparing to teach. Wednesdays in October.

Topics:
October 6th – All Class Response – engagement & discussion strategies (high tech, low tech & no tech strategies for use K-12)
October 13th – Makerspace – join for some interactive play time with approaches & activities to support making and learning in K-12 (focus on the ADST applied design skills and technologies curriculum K-9 and will include coding and design challenges) – session in collaboration with Geering Up UBC!
October 20th – Digital Storytelling – experience some applications and approaches to support storytelling and storymaking in the classroom.
