Drop by the Scarfe foyer to gain an awareness of some of the resources & supports available to you as you ‘Gear Up’/Plan for practicum this winter and spring. While you’re in the foyer:
- Chat with an Ed Librarian and learn about some excellent teaching and learning resources, learn how you can book a maker kit in advance and thumb through some books on planning.
- Learn about online resources:
- open ed resources,
- planning templates,
- School District Resource Collections,
- UBC library collections
- *Edwin by Nelson publishing’s collections of BC Curric aligned multimedia resources (join Edwin in Scarfe 1007 at 12:30 to learn more and gain free access to their resources through July) – RSVP please
- Learn more about one on one and small group supports available as you plan for practicum
- Visit with educators from UBC Engineering’s Geering Up and learn about their online STEM resources, virtual and in person PD and classroom workshops.
- SPIN the wheel for a (strong) chance to WIN a PRIZE (ok… everybody wins something!)
- prizes include: chocolates, books, *resources to support planning for inclusive learning & a few other odds and ends…
- *We expect these to arrive in time… if not, we’ll give you a chocolate, take your name and distribute when they do… The Rich Hansen Foundation has donated some story books & teaching resource toolkits they have recently published. Our UBC CFE students over the past few years have actually helped write this curriculum!
- prizes include: chocolates, books, *resources to support planning for inclusive learning & a few other odds and ends…
Looking forward to seeing you there!
